How to update your personal details before your annual review with your adviser
Most personal details can be updated yourself inside the Welfie app. Here's where to find it and what to do before your next adviser review.
Where to find it
Open Welfie → Booking tab → Your details → Edit details.
The edit details flow is organised into four numbered sections:
- Personal details — your info, contacts, and work details.
- Finances and assets — income, savings, assets, investments.
- Protection and retirement — superannuation and insurance details.
- Obligations and expenses — other liabilities and regular expenses.
Welfie will flag any section that could use more detail with "A bit more info would be helpful", so you can see at a glance where there are gaps before your review.
Important: review and submit at the end
When you've worked through the sections, ensure you click submit. Your changes only reach your adviser once you've submitted the full review ; partial edits in individual sections don't reach your adviser!
If your review is less than 24 hours away, your changes may not reach your adviser in time. Try to edit and submit your details at least a few days before your appointment so your adviser has time to look over them.
What needs our team to change
Two things can't be edited from inside the app and need our team:
- Phone number — see Updating your phone number on your Welfie account.
- Email address — see Updating your email address.
If you make a mistake
For self-serve fields, you can go back into the details flow and edit again. For fields that need our team to change, just message us in chat and explain what needs correcting.
