Preparing for your annual review
A bit of prep before your annual review goes a long way. Here's a checklist to work through in the days leading up to your appointment so your time with your adviser is focused on the conversation, not the admin.
A few days before your review
Make sure your accounts are connected. If you have new accounts since the last review, connect them in Welfie now. See How to connect a bank or financial institution. If any existing connections are paused or asking you to reconnect, sort those out too — see Why is Welfie asking me to reconnect?
Update anything that's changed manually. If you have assets or liabilities Welfie can't connect to (property, business interests, valuables), check the values are current. See How to edit your assets and liabilities.
Update your personal details and submit. If anything's changed since your last review — income, employment, insurance, family situation — open Welfie → Booking tab → Your details → Edit details, work through the full flow, and tap Submit at the end. See How to update your personal details.
⚠️ If your review is less than 24 hours away, your changes may not reach your adviser in time. Try to submit your details at least a few days before your appointment.
Check whether there are any documents waiting in the Hub. Open the Hub tab — sometimes there are documents to sign before a review (for example, a fresh service agreement) and sometimes there aren't. Either way it's worth a check. See Signing documents in Welfie.
Tap "View my prep" on the Booking tab. When your review is close, Welfie shows a View my prep link on the upcoming-review card with a short, personalised list of what's worth doing before you sit down with your adviser. It's the quickest way to spot anything you'd otherwise miss.
The day of your review
Note what you want to talk about. A short list of things you want to cover — life changes, questions about your investments, financial goals — helps make the conversation as useful as possible.
Open the app a few minutes before your appointment. If anything's flagged in Welfie that needs your attention (a paused connection, an unsubmitted details update, an unsigned document), you'll want to know before your adviser does.
Expect some documents during or just after the review. Most reviews involve signing at least one document — a client service agreement is the most common one — so don't be surprised if a new item appears in your Hub tab around the time of your meeting. See Signing documents in Welfie.
After your review
Your adviser will follow up with any updated documents or recommendations. If anything needs your signature, it'll appear in your Hub tab — see Signing documents in Welfie.
